Note: First thing’s first. This news update is very big, so if you are too lazy to read the entire thing, then leave now.
Sorry for the lack of updates everyone. Well since I’ve had a lot of subjects to address but didn’t want to have 10 announcements stacked up on the forum, I decided to make it just one giant news entry.
The first subject is about the tournament. Many people who didn’t participate in last year’s tournament or wasn’t here at the time have asked what this tournament is about. First, a bunch of members apply for the tournament. When 30 members have applied and have been accepted, I will pair you up with one of them. Let’s say your name is Mega.EXE and you have joined the tournament. And let’s say another member named BN_Master has also joined the tournament. If you are paired with him, then you must compete against him in the tournament. Now how exactly are the battles “fought”? Let’s say your battle is the first one. I will make a poll where members can vote for you. Most likely, you will be voted for if you are kind, active, known, and/or respected. Obviously, whoever has the most votes will move on to the next round..
We encourage anyone with 100 or more posts to join. If you have less than 100 posts, then you are not eligible to join. How exactly do you join? Well it is very simple. First, go HERE. Then make a post requesting to join the tournament. You will automatically be accepted if you have 100 or more posts.
The second subject is forum activity. I am not going to force anyone to, but as your administrator I ask of you a simple task. It is to be more active on other boards other than the Fan Section. This forum is about MegaMan and my project, not your sprites or games. It’s okay to be very active in those sections, but could you please post in the MegaMan Battle Network Online: Chaos Network section, too? I would really appreciate it. Remember without Chaos Network, this forum would not even exist, so it deserves some attention.
The third subject is about MegaMan Battle Network Online: Chaos Network’s production. First of all, it is now being made using Game Maker 7.0, the new version that was recently released by Mark Overmars and YoYo Games. Secondly, I have made the final decision to make the next release both an overworld and battle engine demo. Of course, the battle engine will be better than in the last release and there will not be as many bugs (possibly not any at all). And last, I desperately need someone to fill in the following spots for the team.
Logo Maker: This would be considered a spriter, but I only need this spriter to make a logo for the game unless they want to do other jobs after.
Music Maker: Some one who can make MP3 QUALITY music. If you can only make midis, then do so and then go HERE to convert it to mp3.
Voice Actors: Have a high squeaky or very low voice? Have a microphone to record your voice on? If you do, I’m sure that I’ll have a spot that fits you.
Beta Testers: I will only accept five since I know that a countless amount of people would like to beta test. If I lose contact with any of you, I will fire and replace you. Now beta testing isn’t just playing the demo before anyone else. It is also reporting as many bugs as possible in the demo. If you fail to do so, again you will be fired and replaced.
As usual, you need to show me a sample of your work before I can hire you since some people just cannot be trusted.
I have one more thing to say about this subject. The story for Chaos Network will be announced very soon, so stay tuned!
Huff huff… One last subject before I go. You will notice that the site will be updated a lot more than before. I am going to update the Star Force section and I will be working on the RPG’s home page. I will also be adding a MegaMan Battle Network section to the main site.
