Well the 2 version thing sounds good, but when you think about it, you'll realize it's alot of hard work.
First of all the server problem: If you want to have an mmorpg someone needs to host it, getting a server that can host it for 10-100 people isnt so hard, but getting two or more servers that can host past 100 people is the dificult part. Not to mention pretty expensive, but the average computer with the right programs should have no problems hosting it for 100 people of less.
Second is the Double mode: if there are two versions people will just download them both and make characters on both of them etc. Now if it's JUST single player than thats fine, but how are you going to make the two intertwine with each on regular updates, notices, and problems? Thats is alot of programming to be done, and will just postpone the game even longer.
Third is the problem of Time and Money: making two versions will all around cause you more time, and money for the servers, and it could even leak into your social life, even though I'm sure you moderators and admins regulate that accordingly. An average server that you could use could run you guys 50-100$ a month, and since you cant charge for the game becuase of copyright infringement thats money coming out of your pockets for what, a game online?
Now don't take this as a rant or bashing of the game, one of my dreams is to see a game like this flourish and become a MegaMan BN online game, but I'm just giving you guys a heads up of what could come if you decide on two versions.

I think the two versions is for the offline part of the game and doesn't deal with the online part. The offline part is suppose to be a storyline game while the online part is where everyone is on with their own navis and other things.

Actually, my server is free and it's better than any expensive one. As for the hard work, I'm willing to handle it, but I've never let it interfere with my life. That's out of the question.

Thats why I said you probably moderate that part well , but as for a free server? I didn't know one existed lol. And I said that if they were just for single player that would be great.

The two MMORPG parts could be a problem, but there's only one way to find out ! As for only making it single player and cancelling out the MMORPG, that's a big no. The whole point of Chaos Network is to introduce players to a whole new way of net battling, MMORPG gameplay and introduce a new generation, the story. And if you add that together, you get "A new generation of net battling". Old members such as PMB, NovaMan, and Solar are familiar with that saying and as time goes on, so will you.

Hmm...for handling the money part, maybe some people are willing to donate money for the game when Shadow gets the game up. I sure would ;D.

As I said, there is absolutely no money involved in this project. But PCN and PNT could use your donations since their servers cost money.
