Hey, Souls are dang cool as well. They beat the crap out of Styles by a long shot.
EDIT: I've changed my mind. Chaos Unisons are my favorite because they own all.

Yeah BN3 styles were good. I mean you get to be all elements and with some others like bug style and shadow style(I think).

Shadow and Bug Styles were quite fun. Bug Style was always somethin' new. It was different pretty much every time. And Shadow Style is a great way to annoy opponents.

Come on people, crosses the most? And ironxmoose, you're wrong. Styles were alot better than Souls. You didn't know when you would get 'em and sometimes you wouldn't what type. To get souls was gay, you had to do those iditioc tournaments that were SO retarded. And you knew that every tournament you go to, you will get a soul. When you get a soul its cool. Then its just gets boring. For me, BN4 was the worst one. And BN6 is too easy. With that Crosses and Beast out which is pretty cool, but for me it makes the game way easier.

Then its just gets boring. For me, BN4 was the worst one. And BN6 is too easy. With that Crosses and Beast out which is pretty cool, but for me it makes the game way easier. So, you're tellin' me that Styles, which offered no benefits to chips at all, and did nothin' other than change your element, buster, and one other thing, are superior to Souls? Totally wrong. You see, with Souls, you could actually set up folders themed around a Soul, which could kick some serious butt. With Styles, it was mass conformity. Folders looked mostly the same, and Custom Style ran rampant. With Souls, you can also control what you use. When facin' an Elec-type enemy, I think I'd rather be able to choose Tomahawk Soul then be stuck in Aqua Style. I'd rather be able to switch to the enemy's weakness than be stuck without a chance for double damage 75% of the time. And the Souls, well, at least in EXE 5, were innovative. They did things that were quite creative. Styles...were bland. Except Bug Style. That's the one style that's always changin'. Souls require you to change to adapt to situations and make you want to use certain chips to gain extra effect. Like Gyro Soul. Not many wind chips in the game, but doublin' the attack of a null-element chip is unholy at times. This is where strategy comes in. You want to save Gyro Soul and a wind chip until you get your killer chip of doom. Also, charge shots were somewhat enhanced. Rather than straightforward one-hit attacks the Styles provided, Souls give a variety of attacks. For instance, you can snipe someone from anywhere on the screen, or you can throw a die into thier area for an inescapable explosion, provided they don't destroy it. In order to get the max effect of Gyro Soul's charge attack, you need to get on the same row and stand three panels away. For Knight Soul, it's all about takin' their middle square and swingin' away. The Souls require more strategy than Styles, which really were quite borin'. That's why they're superior. And, for the record, EXE 4 and the continue system was, indeed, quite gay. Also, I find that EXE 2 was the easist. It just sets itself upon a silver platter for you.

In the 1st place...Why would you use your wood style if you knew the area your going through is your weakness?

Styles are more fun than Souls. Cause you don't know when you get 'em and Souls are just in an event. Souls were retarded... Crosses are better in a way. But still Styles beat all. They had a cool-look than knowing you're gonna look like let's say GutsMan type.

But Souls actually give your chips benefits. Styles...did one thing. And took forever to gain. Then sometimes you'd be stuck with somethin' you don't want. Souls are what you want faster. Souls allowed folders to have some creativity and originality. For Styles, you just have to figure out which Style your opponent has then stock your folder with chips of that Style's weakness. That's pretty much what you need to win there. With Souls, you had to go with what Soul you were usin' and take advantage of its benefits to win. Souls could change at any second, and the tables could turn at any minute. That creates more strategical gameplay. Ergo, Souls>Styles.

Crosses are better though. They don't require chip sacrificing. WHAT IF I NEED THAT CHIP!?!?!?!
